About the role
Remote Construction Estimator (Preconstruction), $1,500 USD/month, remote from Lebanon: own a US builder's bidding process, starting with who gets to bid at all.
ABOUT THE ROLE
A growing Los Angeles general contractor building high-end custom homes is standing up a structured preconstruction operation. You own the bidding legwork: vetting subcontractors before they enter the pool, plan review, trade-by-trade scopes, and bid leveling, inside a documented estimating process with defined review gates and an AI-forward workflow. Done well, the seat grows into a senior preconstruction position.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Vet and own the prequalified subcontractor database: licensing, insurance, quality tier, responsiveness
- Send and manage Invitations to Bid, with follow-up by phone and email
- Review architectural and structural sets; write scopes with sheet references on every line
- Level bids, flag gaps and exclusions, and feed the historic cost database
WHAT YOU BRING
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or similar
- Strong plan reading and excellent English, written and on calls with US subcontractors
- Organized, self-managing, and consistent with checklists and async review gates
ARRANGEMENT
- $1,500 USD/month, paid monthly by international bank transfer
- Remote, Lebanon-based; independent contractor engagement via Hyperlink; dedicated, minimum 40 hrs/week
- Overlap: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM Pacific (6:00 to 11:00 PM Beirut)
Requirements
Direct experience with US construction projects (drawings, subs, or estimating)
Near-native written and spoken English — you'll be on live calls with US subcontractors
Ability to read a full architectural + structural set unaided
