About the role
A US construction technology company is building a full project management platform, think Procore: project tracking, RFIs, document control, scheduling, and budgets. You are the engineer building it. You will work mostly solo, directly with the founder, who reviews the work and sets direction. This is a build from scratch on AWS with a React and Node.js stack, and you own how it comes together. AI tooling is central to how the team works, not an afterthought.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Design and build the platform end to end: backend services on AWS, React front end, Node.js APIs
Make the architectural calls: data model, multi-tenancy, document handling, scheduling logic
Ship features across the full scope of a construction management product
Work directly with the founder, turning rough requirements into working software
Use AI tooling heavily and well, with judgment about where it belongs and where it doesn't
NICE TO HAVE
Construction tech, project management, or document-heavy product experience
Multi-tenant SaaS
Experience leading a build solo or as a founding engineer
ARRANGEMENT
$2,500 USD/month, paid monthly by international bank transfer
Remote, Lebanon based; independent contractor engagement via The Hyperlink; dedicated, minimum 40 hrs/week
Overlap: 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM Beirut (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Pacific)
Requirements
5+ years full-stack, with real depth in Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL
Hands on AWS, comfortable owning your own infrastructure
You have taken something from nothing to production before, not just contributed to an existing codebase
Strong systems and design thinking, with the willingness to work outside traditional engineering patterns where AI tooling makes a better path
Excellent written and spoken English, working daily with a US founder
Can architect independently, not just implement tickets
Are genuinely comfortable with the evening overlap below
Have shipped and owned production systems yourself
